Our Professional Cleaning Process
Mango Spotless does not use a one-method-fits-all cleaning system. Method, chemistry, temperature, agitation, and moisture level are all selected according to the material, construction, condition, and soil level we find during inspection. This process applies generally to Upholstery, Carpet, Mattress, and Area Rug Cleaning — not every step is performed identically on every material.
The 10-step process
We inspect the material first and select the appropriate cleaning method—because every surface requires a different approach.
Inspect & IdentifySteps 1–2
1. Pre-Inspection
Inspect the item or area for overall condition, soil level, stains, wear, existing damage, and potential cleaning concerns.
2. Fiber & Material Identification
Identify the fiber or material and evaluate its construction. When necessary, perform appropriate testing before cleaning. Select chemistry, temperature, moisture level, and cleaning method accordingly.
Prepare & Pre-TreatSteps 3–4
3. Dry Soil Removal
Remove loose particulate soil, dust, hair, crumbs, and other dry debris before wet cleaning begins.
4. Spot & Stain Treatment
Identify individual spots and stains and treat them with appropriate professional solutions selected according to the stain and material.
Apply, Dwell & AgitateSteps 5–7
5. Pre-Spray
Apply a carefully selected professional cleaning solution to loosen and suspend embedded soil. Adjust chemistry and moisture levels for the material and condition.
6. Dwell Time
Allow the cleaning solution appropriate working time based on the material, soil level, and cleaning chemistry.
7. Gentle Agitation
When appropriate, gently agitate the surface to improve soil suspension and cleaning performance without unnecessary stress on the fibers.
Extract or Use Low MoistureStep 8
8. Professional Extraction or Very-Low-Moisture Cleaning
Depending on the material, construction, and condition, we use controlled hot/warm-water extraction or a professional very-low-moisture method. The method is selected after inspection and material identification — not every item is cleaned the same way.
Finish & InspectSteps 9–10
9. Grooming & Drying Preparation
When appropriate, we groom fibers for an even appearance, perform appropriate extraction passes, and position cleaned materials to support efficient and even drying.
10. Final Inspection
We review the overall appearance and address remaining treatable areas when appropriate before completing the service.
Why the method varies by material
Different fibers, construction types, conditions, and levels of soil do not respond to cleaning in the same way. That's why we identify the fiber and construction before choosing a method, and why the same "clean" result can come from different combinations of chemistry, dwell time, and either full extraction or a very-low-moisture approach. When our inspection or testing indicates that a step should be adjusted or skipped for a specific item, we explain that before beginning any work.
